ABOUT THE PROJECT


  • Under an MoU with CSU, Samskrit Promotion Foundation is inviting Samskrit scholars to register and contribute in creation of new Samskrit Terms.
  • These new Samskrit terms could function as the foundation for other languages too.

WHO CAN BE A CONTRIBUTOR ?


  • The contributor should be a Samskrit Scholar who knows the process as per Panini's Ashtaadhyaayi.
  • Contributors can be students, teachers, professors, others.

PROCESS TO CONTRIBUTE A NEW TERM


  • After registration and approval, one will be able to see the list of words in the selected subjects.
  • Just coin the word and record the process of coining (Prakriyaa/Pratayaya) in the remarks column.
  • Group of scholars will review the term coined and will agree or suggest changes.
  • Agreed terms will be visible to public.

PROCESS FOR CONTRIBUTING A NEW WORD


  • One should know typing in Devanagari (Unicode).
  • Aware of the process of creation of new terms in Samskrit.
  • One can register in one or more categories.
  • Once can edit the word until it is agreed.
  • In your account total number of words contributed will be available.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS


  • Samskrit community will once again lead in coining new words.
  • These words will enrich all the Indian Languages.
  • This will help in universal terminology for the School and College level text books as per NEP 2020 guidelines.
  • This will open new avenues of research too.
  • This will open new avenues of contributing at Global level too.
